I’m Allison Prang and am currently a reporter for The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina, where I report on tech and tourism. (Think startups, investments, software companies, hotel developments, where Charleston ranks on various lists, and the like.) I am also a freelance journalist and have recently written for Government Executive, a news outlet under the Atlantic Media based out of Washington, D.C.
Over the course of the past four-plus years, I’ve worked for a number of news organizations covering business or politics, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, The Kansas City Star, The Indianapolis Star, the St. Louis Beacon and others.
This past December, I graduated from the University of Missouri with my Bachelor’s in Journalism. At Mizzou, I went through the print and digital news sequence with an interest area in watchdog journalism and minored in both sociology and political science.
All seriousness aside, any ideas for incorporating my baton-twirling skills (of my former life) into my journalism career are welcome. Oh, and if you’re looking for the other Prang twin, you’ve reached the wrong page. She’s taller. And a former Army sergeant.
