Allison Prang is a reporter on the real-time desk at The Wall Street Journal where she covers breaking news.
She was previously a reporter for American Banker, where she reported on community banks. Prior to that, Prang spent just over a year as a business reporter for The Post and Courier in Charleston, South Carolina, where she reported on the technology and tourism industries.
During her time at the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and after, she worked for a number of news organizations covering business or politics, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, The Kansas City Star, The Indianapolis Star, the St. Louis Beacon and others. She also worked for Investigative Reporters and Editors as both a research assistant and on-the-road training assistant.
In December 2014, she graduated from the University of Missouri with her Bachelor’s in Journalism. At Mizzou, she went through the print and digital news sequence with an interest area in watchdog journalism and minored in both sociology and political science.
All seriousness aside, she’s open to any ideas for incorporating her baton-twirling skills (of a former life) into her journalism career. Oh, and if you’re looking for the other Prang twin, you’ve reached the wrong page. She’s taller. And a former Army sergeant.
