I currently am a reporter on the breaking news desk that serves the Dow Jones Newswires along with The Wall Street Journal. I also cover the stock market and have written enterprise stories on the pharmaceuticals and banking industries.

I covered community banks for American Banker, a trade publication based in New York City. In doing so, I covered bank earnings and wrote about trend stories in the industry and wrote about community development financial institutions. One of my favorite story topics was a piece I wrote about how bankers in Ohio would have perceived a gubernatorial run by former CFPB director Richard Cordray.

I covered tech and tourism for the business desk, which included writing about the industry’s hotel developments, the regulation of Uber in South Carolina and profiling area tech leaders.

I spent three months on the consumer team covering retail companies. I wrote an enterprise piece looking at the threat that studio-like gym offering posed to more traditional gym companies and helped cover anything from companies’ earnings to how women would receive the Apple watch.
